The year 2022 marks the 14th birthday of director Fumiko Irie’s second film, The Miracle of the Coloured Light.
Director Irie is visiting the UK, therefore, to mark the occasion, we have decided to hold a screening and director’s talk event in London on 9 July.
We are planning a small get-together with Director Irie after the screening and talk, so please come and join us at the venue.
We look forward to spending a good time with you.

About the film：
The Miracle of the Coloured Light (directed by Fumiko Irie) is the courageous true story of Noriko Terada, a psychological colour therapist who overcame cancer.
The illness that struck her deprived her of her sight and freedom of movement in her legs. The film follows the process of realising the importance of a poem that she meets at a lecture, while she is in agony with a year and a half left to live.
This is a moving documentary film about a woman who decides to paint ‘pictures of light’ to heal people with her own blind eyes.
The film is also about recognising yourself as you are, forgiving and accepting the events that connect you to yourself.
今年は入江富美子監督の２作目「光彩〜ひかり〜の奇跡」の１４回目のお誕生日なります。
入江富美子監督は渡英されていますので、それを記念して、ロンドンでも上映と講演会を７月９日に開催させていただくことにしました。
ZOOMでもご参加いただけますが、終了後入江監督との懇親会も考えておりますので、ぜひ、リアル参加されてください。

自らの見えなくなった目で人を癒す「光の絵」を描くことを決意した感動のドキュメンタリー映画です。
